Happy birthday Yanmar!
On 22 March, the Japanese company Yanmar celebrated 109 years since its foundation and to celebrate this great achievement has given to all fans of the industry a comic book manga representing the life story of Magokichi Yamaoka, founder of the company, and his 9 brothers.
The manga comics are divided into three chapters: Magokichi Yamaoka and the beginning of Yanmar, Progress and failures (The diesel engine that was to hold the company's destiny) , Magokichi's achievements and today's Yanmar the legacy of Magokichi's aspirations.
The first chapter Magokichi Yamaoka and the Beginning of Yanmar tells the story of the birth of Magokichi, the ninth son among 10 brothers in the village of Minami Tominaga, located in Shiga, and how he developed the oil engine that would become the basis of Yanmar's business.

In Progress and Failures after the Oil Engine, Magokichi continues to invent agricultural equipment such as the rice miller, but business that seemed to be going well begins to see setbacks; the second chapter describes the company's financial difficulties and the important encounter with the diesel engine that was to determine Yanmar's fate.
